The Best Website Structure for Local Businesses

Skip the 20-page site. Here's the exact page architecture that ranks locally and converts — six pages, no fluff.

The Best Website Structure for Local Businesses

Local businesses don't need a big website. They need the right pages, in the right order, doing the right jobs.

The six-page structure that works

1. Home

One-sentence value prop, one primary CTA, the three biggest proof points, a service overview, and a location signal (city, service area, or map). That's it.

2. One page per service you actually sell

Each service gets its own page with its own title tag and its own keywords. This is where local SEO lives. Not a single "Services" list — separate pages.

3. Locations (if you serve multiple)

A page per city or neighborhood if you truly serve them differently. Otherwise, one strong service-area page beats fifty thin ones.

4. About

Short. Human. A face, a story, a reason to trust. Not a resume.

5. Reviews / Work

Real photos, real names, real numbers. This is the page that closes deals.

6. Contact

Phone, form, hours, address, map. Nothing else.

What you don't need

  • A blog you'll never update.
  • A press page with two logos on it.
  • A "careers" page unless you're actively hiring.
  • A newsletter signup nobody asked for.
  • Six sub-menus deep.

Six pages, done well, will out-earn a 40-page site every time.
